Sandy Lacey

Sandy is the wife, mother, home educator, and glue of the family. She comes from a long line of musicians. Sandy sang and played key-bass with her family's old-time/country and western group while growing up in southwestern Wisconsin. From 1984-1985, during her senior year of Bible college in Iowa, she learned to play the mandolin. A couple of months later, she played and sang with Gary Froiland's group, The Bluegrass Family Band. During this time, Sandy picked up an Oscar Schmidt autoharp at a garage sale for $25.00 and now plays this as her main instrument. She sings lead and adds a tight harmony with the family. To show how God works, Sandy prayed for the Lord to give her a husband she could sing with. Well, not only could he sing, but he also played the piano to accompany them. Later, he taught himself to play the 5-string banjo. The Lord has blessed them with six wonderful children who have in the last two years picked up and learned to play various instruments. It has only been since the summer of 2005 that they could play a complete set of music. Sandy's other interests include scrap booking and enjoys the privilege of ministering with Tim and the children.
